Artifact

Artifact such as coins or pottery can be entered in this form.

At the index page already entered entities are listed in a Table.

  • Click on the + button to enter a new one

  • Click on the name of an entry in the list to access the detail view

  • To edit or delete an entry, click on the Edit button in the detail view.

  • Event - Use, if an artifact was part of an event such as its production

Human remains

“Human remains” is used to record anthropological data based on each human bone. They are subunits of a Stratigraphic unit which itself is a subunit of Feature. Please note that information on the biological sex, gender, and age of an individual can be entered in the stratigraphic unit entry mask. Super and subunits

In the OpenAtlas database Human remains can be subunits of a Stratigraphic unit (e.g. a human femur (human remains) of a skeleton (stratigraphic unit) in a grave (feature)). A Stratigraphic unit can consist of one or more Human remains (femur, humerus and first molar of the same individual etc.) as well as finds (artifacts).
